Creating Moments of Joy

Have you ever had a vacation or something you had planned for a long time that gave you something exciting to look forward to? I am talking about the kind of vacation or event that as that the day drew near, the anticipation grew more and more with each passing day.

What if you could create moments like that — even if on a smaller scale — on a regular basis? That excitement and energy would be a great feeling, right? Life would likely feel more fulfilling and the monotony of the day-to-day things we handle in life could diminish.

What are some things that bring you joy and make you smile? It could be as simple as planning a bike ride at the park or visiting a local coffee shop with a friend or relative. Just recently, I enjoyed a luxurious head spa appointment with one of my friends. It was an hour-long appointment that consisted of various hair treatments, scalp massage and soothing music playing in the background. I spent a few weeks not only looking forward to trying a new experience but also being pampered and relaxing with one of my close friends. Being intentional with my time led to increased joy.

Free Upcoming Workshop

More joyful moments can be created in our everyday life if we become more strategic with how we spend our time. Creating more joy and excitement can be relatively simple. It just takes a little journaling or brainstorming to get started.

Creating moments of joy does not have to be complicated and can take very little time. If you became more intentional with what you include in your schedule and make it a point to include joyful moments in your life, you might be surprised how quickly that adjustment can have a lasting impact.
